The most current photos and information about our Sphynx cats and any available Sphynx kittens can be found on our Blog and in the Photo Gallery.
Our cats are an important part of our family also. Simba is a lilac point Siamese. He loves to visit with everyone who comes to see the puppies, so please let us know ahead of time if you're allergic to cats, so we can lock him out of the way!
Drakkar is a Bombay. He looks just like a little panther. He is the laziest cat I have ever met! He also snores!
Checkers found us. She is our indoor-outdoor cat. She is a number one ratter, and keeps the rodents in check around here. Also known as "The Kitchen Cat" as she spends much of the day sleeping in the kitchen.
We also have several nice Spynx Cats and have had our first litter of kittens in 2007. Puck was a Sphynx cat we had adopted, but unfortunately, the hustle and bustle around here was more than this sedate cat could handle, so a wonderful rescue woman took him in, and was able to find him a home where he can be an only cat, which he adores. Puck is pictured below in costumes! A wonderful boy, but he was just too stressed by so many other animals, as he was used to being in an "only pet" home. Puck is now very happy in his new home.
I fell in love with the breed, and bought a Sphynx kitten, Jazira. Kitten, as she was called, was a Calico Sphynx. Sadly, Kitten passed away in May, after a mysterious illness that had even the best vets stumped. Necropsy later found that she was one of the few who had untreatable and incurable IBD. Everything had been done for her by the top vets around, and still, she could not be saved.
Sphynx cats are hairless. Most people that come here think they are weird, and don't know if they want to touch them or not. Their body feels like suede.
Our other Sphynx cats are Gazoo, a neutered male who has a heart murmur, Orson, our intact male who has been shown, and is siring some beautiful kittens, Stitch, who belongs to Matt and Amy, but spends much of her time here (Stitch's kittens can be seen on the Kittens page), and the two newest arrivals who came all the way "from Russia with love" from Merloni Cattery--Phisbie and Nora.
